LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — An alleged fraudster has been making the rounds, passing themselves off as the managers for rappers Drake and Lil Wayne and accepting deposits for fake bookings.

A statement released by Bryant Management read: "It has come to light that an individual has been impersonating Bryant Management CEO Cortez Bryant for financial gain through false bookings of his clients, specifically the much buzzed-about recording artist Drake."

The individual had been using official looking accounts on social networking sites such as Twitter and email to solicit deposits for fake bookings and club appearances. A now suspended Twitter account by a user Tezpoe (labeled Cortez Bryant) included pictures of Cortez and Wayne and had tweets such as "who wants to make some easy money hit me" and "Promoters, hit me if you want Drake or Wayne for a show." Tweets on the account go back to July 15th.

A spokesperson for Bryant told reporters that the imposter had been targeting promoters in the Atlanta, Denver, Minneapolis, Norfolk and Virginia Beach markets. Bryant is reportedly working with police who are investigating the alleged fraud. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
