"I love how fun flirty and chic the collection is," she tells Celebwell about the line. "Definitely an eye-catcher on the yacht, beach, or pool." How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 of Jayda Cheaves' top diet and fitness tips for staying in shape and the photos that prove they work.
Jayda's top dip? "Drink plenty of water," she tells us. Why is hydration crucial? According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
When it comes to diet, Jayda says "Eat your fruit. My favorite fruit right now is plums and dark cherries," she tells Celebwell.
When asked about her workout, Jayda confessed: "I don't have to exercise running behind a toddler all day. My son keeps me fit." No matter how you choose to sweat, physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.
Jayda also suggests getting your zen on. Her go-to self-care practice is meditation. "I like to take time out of my day to meditate and align myself for whatever the day has in store for me," she tells us. "When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress," says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:
- Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
- Building skills to manage your stress
- Increasing self-awareness
- Focusing on the present
- Reducing negative emotions
- Increasing imagination and creativity
- Increasing patience and tolerance
- Lowering resting heart rate
- Lowering resting blood pressure
- Improving sleep quality
Jayda also makes sure to get plenty of rest. "My sleep routine schedule is all over the place," she confesses. "Sometimes I'm in bed early, and sometimes I like to stay up late and binge-watch my favorite shows. It's summer so there's no such thing as a set schedule these days."
